Throughout the early years after starting TimeWise, when I would meet someone and introduce myself and “TimeWise, a personal concierge and lifestyle management service”, I would often be met with a perplexed look and the ever-burning question…
“What exactly does a Personal Concierge do?”.
I’d try to explain we do all the things you don’t have the time to do, don’t want to do, or don’t know how to do. You know, just think of us as a personal assistant. Yet still, ‘the look’.
I’ve oftentimes thought it would have been much easier had I started a cleaning service, because we all know what a cleaning service does. And just about anyone would appreciate having their house cleaned, right?
Of course I’ve gotten much better through the years at explaining what a concierge and lifestyle management service can do for you. But, after 18 years in business (yes, 18!), on an inspirational webinar with the fabulous Kelly Schaefer with The Concierge Academy, I had an aha moment.
It’s simple. What we do is about YOUR stories.
It’s about the busy entrepreneur who works 12 hour days and would rather spend the weekends watching their kids play sports, than organizing closets, taking the car for an oil change, and shopping at Costco.
It’s about the couple who is ready to downsize to a smaller, low-maintenance home, but is overwhelmed at the very thought of moving after accumulating 40 years-worth of stuff.
It’s about the concerns you have leaving your vacation home unoccupied for months at a time.
It’s about the Realtor® who simply can’t be in more than one place at a time.
It’s about the grieving family who is trying to keep it together while taking care of emptying their parents home, and all the other details that must be handled after the loss of a loved one.
It’s about the worries that keep you up at night because your 80 year old mom lives alone – 2,000 miles away.
It’s about us coming up with solutions to help you manage your life. Whether you are simply strapped for time, or are in need of a compassionate helping hand, we listen to your stories, then identify and offer solutions that will make a positive difference in your life.
What’s YOUR story?
